Pork knocker held after glock, ammunition found at wismar

A 30-year-old pork knocker is in police custody after ranks on mobile patrol allegedly found a Glock 19 pistol and live ammunition in his shoulder bag at Wismar, Linden.

Police said the discovery was made around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, in the vicinity of Dakoura Creek, Wismar.

According to preliminary investigations, ranks were conducting mobile patrols in the area when they observed the man, a resident of Victory Valley, Wismar, allegedly acting suspiciously after seeing the police.

He was stopped and searched. During a search of a shoulder bag he was carrying, police said ranks found one Glock 19 pistol fitted with a magazine containing eight live 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Police said the man is not the holder of a firearm licence. He was arrested and escorted to the Wismar Police Station, where the firearm and ammunition were lodged. The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
