A 27-year-old man of Blueberry Hill, Linden, has been arrested and is now in police custody as investigators probe the alleged murder of Samuel Marciano at Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni.
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the suspect, Michael Caesar, 27, of Blueberry Hill, Linden was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation at a popular nightspot in New Amsterdam, Berbice, at about 00:30 hrs on Friday.
Police said the arrest is linked to the alleged murder of Marciano, which reportedly occurred on November 2, 2025, at 14 Miles, Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni.
Following the suspect’s detention, ranks conducted a search of the motor vehicle he was using. During that search, police reported finding a 9mm Taurus pistol and eleven live 9mm rounds concealed in the driver’s side door.
The firearm and ammunition were processed and lodged, police said, as the suspect remains in custody and investigations continue.
