The results of the 2026 National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) will be released on July 10, Minister of Education Sonia Parag has announced.

The minister said the Ministry of Education has now received the official release date and wanted to update the public, especially as many parents and students have been asking when the results would become available. She noted that the results will be released through the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Education on that date.

The 2026 NGSA was written on April 29 and April 30, 2026, with a total of 15,938 students sitting the examinations. The assessment tests pupils in four core subject areas: Mathematics, English Language, Science, and Social Studies.

Parag also sought to encourage the pupils who wrote the exams, reminding them that NGSA is only one stage in their academic journey as they prepare to transition to secondary school. She urged students to use the outcome as motivation for the next phase of their education and future career goals.
