The Ministry of Education has launched an immediate investigation into an incident at Tuschen Secondary School earlier today that resulted in two students being injured.
The injured boys were transported to De Kendren Regional Hospital, where they received medical treatment and were later discharged.
The Ministry confirmed that the student involved has been expelled and handed over to police. A teacher allegedly connected to the incident has also been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of a full investigation.
Minister of Education, Sonia Parag visited the injured students and their families at the hospital. She was accompanied by the Regional Health Officer, Regional Education Officer, and the school’s headteacher to coordinate the response.

The Childcare and Protection Agency under the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security has also been informed to ensure the welfare of all parties involved is properly addressed.
The Ministry of Education says it remains committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment as investigations continue.
