A 31-year-old teacher was robbed of her motorcycle, cellphone, and $40,000 after a gunman fired two rounds outside her East La Penitence, Georgetown home on Sunday morning, police said.
The woman was about to park her motorcycle and enter her yard around 8:50 a.m. when two men approached on a red and white XR motorcycle.
According to preliminary police investigations, the pillion rider dismounted, pointed a handgun at the teacher and discharged two rounds before taking her silver Haojue motorcycle, registration number CS 9982, a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra cellphone and the cash.
Police said the gunman then rejoined the waiting motorcycle and both suspects escaped. The statement did not explain how the stolen motorcycle was removed from the scene.
No injuries were reported. Ranks who visited the location recovered one suspected .32-calibre spent shell. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
No arrests have been made as investigations continue.
