A 33-year-old East Coast Demerara (ECD) businessman was found dead in a car along the Ogle road on Tuesday, with an apparent gunshot wound to his chest and a firearm inside the vehicle.
Dead is Satayanand Persud, of Industry. Police said Persud had reportedly been uncontactable by relatives since around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Checks were later made, during which his motor car was found parked along the Ogle road with the engine still running. Persud was discovered motionless in the driver’s seat.
According to police, an apparent gunshot wound was seen to his chest, while a firearm was also found inside the vehicle. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
