Police are investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of a 42-year-old man early Tuesday morning along the Edinburgh Public Road, East Bank Berbice.
Dead is Oswin Lawson, of Lot 46 Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, who was reportedly driving motor car #HD 8644 when the crash occurred at around 01:30 hrs on May 12, 2026.
According to police, Lawson was both the owner and driver of the vehicle at the time of the incident. He reportedly died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances that led to the accident. Details surrounding how the vehicle crashed have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
Police said further information is expected to be released as investigations continue into the fatal incident along the Edinburgh Public Road.
