A 53-year-old cane harvester is in custody after the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) discovered cocaine and cannabis during an operation at a residence in Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara (WCD).
CANU said that on Wednesday, officers acted on information received and conducted an operation at a home located at Lot 5 Bruda Street, Uitvlugt. A subsequent search of the premises uncovered a quantity of narcotics.
The agency reported that Travis Fraser, of the same address, was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters along with the drugs. CANU said the cocaine weighed 46 grams, while the cannabis weighed 1.798 kilograms.
