An accident at Greenwich Park, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) on Saturday night has claimed the life of Derrick Singh, a 55-year-old farmer.
Singh, reportedly of Bonasika Creek and of St. Lawrence, was driving motor car PXX 9053 when it collided with a truck at about 9:12 pm.
Based on CCTV footage seen by this publication, a truck bearing registration number GAF 6756 was proceeding east along the northern side of the public road when Singh’s vehicle went over to the lane.
While that truck managed to pull into the car, another lorry, GAB 5416, came into contact with Singh’s vehicle, dragging the car a short distance.
The farmer was pulled from the wreck and taken to the De Kinderen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
